The Sydney Boys High School sports donation project is registered with the Australian Sports Foundation and allows interested supporters to make tax deductible donations. The project began in 2000 and was initially registered for five years to allow groups to set reasonable targets for fund raising. The program is now in its fourth five year cycle and has raised over $500,000, to improve the sporting facilities, coaching and training of students attending Sydney High.

Our consolidated Sports Development Project is designed to minimise administration costs and to provide developmental goals for each of the sports played at High. Financial goals have been set at realistic levels to set a challenge over the five year life of the project.

Sporting Project Goals

Athletics Seeking to raise $5,000 to buy practice equipment, starter blocks, measuring tapes, various runner spikes for the boys to use, shot-puts, discus, carnival hosting equipment, $1,500 to provide specialised coaching clinics.

Seeking to raise funds to resurface outdoor courts $30,000; and Coaching equipment: $3,000.

Seeking to raise $75,000 to update the school cricket nets. $10,000 for new cricket equipment. Absorbent roller $2,000. Portable cricket nets $2,000.. Coaching courses $1,500

Seeking to raise money for the new equipment: (foils, jackets, masks - $2,000). Sports Development through coaching clinics $2,000. Refurbishment of training facility $20,000

Rifle Shooting
Facilities project to renovate Malabar clubhouse -(up to $100,000). Equipment (8 Barnard Target rifles $30k over 3 years). Support for school's competition schedule ($30,000 over 5 years).

Equipment: Quad sculls $50,000. Replacement of current single sculls $60,000.

Injury Management programme $5,000 per year. Squad development camps $5000. Coaching equipment $5,000. Coach development courses $5,000. Student/Old Boy referee courses $2,000. Field equipment $1,000.

2 Pacers $21000 each. Elite training costs for Teams racing event $3,000

Table Tennis

Replacement tables and equipment $5,000. Annual venue hire $3,000

Replacement of umpire chairs $10,000. Pre-season coaching clinics $6,000. Australian Open Camp $15,000. Coaching equipment $1,000. Court seating/shade $15,000. Future First development training $3,000.

CHS travel $5,000. Replacement nets, posts and balls $6,000

Team Travel Fund
Seeking to raise funds to support the travel of students and coaches to various events: Melbourne High School summer and winter exchanges $20,000. The Armidale School exchange $25,000. Basketball nationals and CHS state events $15,000. Volleyball nationals and CHS state events $15,000.
